Mario Williams heads NDH. He is currently licensed to practice in the States of Georgia, Virginia, and New York, and is admitted to practice in the U.S Supreme Court; Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals; Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and numerous district courts. As President of the firm, he oversees the nationwide team of attorneys working at NDH. Mr. Williams vast experience with appeals permits him to successfully litigate cases from lower courts through the appeals process.
Mr. Williams has represented victims of government, police, and jail/prison misconduct throughout the United States and internationally. He has considerable litigation experience in the area of 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 federal actions, which include First Amendment claims, Fourth Amendment claims, and Eighth Amendment claims; Title VII actions (employment discrimination claims); and whistleblower claims. Mr. Williams has also represented large and small companies regarding contract disputes that involve complicated bankruptcy issues and Racketeering claims, as well as fraud claims. He has closed grand jury investigations by aggressively “getting in front” of potential charges.
Mr. Williams graduated with honors from Morehouse College in Political Science and obtained his law degree at Lewis and Clark in Portland, Oregon. Prior to working as an attorney practicing constitutional law and business law, Mr. Williams was an international human rights advocate in South America, and served in the Peace Corps in Honduras. He authored a successful emergency precautionary petition, among others, to the Inter-American Human Rights Commission on behalf of vulnerable peoples who dialysis treatment was cut off by a prominent hospital in Atlanta, GA. He has also worked with Consumer and Human Rights organizations to improve greater access to potable water, adequate housing and quality education, internationally.
