Maria-Vittoria "Giugi" Carminati is Managing Attorney for the West and Southwest United States, and at the helm of the Denver, CO, office. Giugi speaks four languages: French, English, Italian and Spanish, while becoming proficient in additional ones. She is a Board member of the Colorado Community College System, Denver MAMAs, and a member of the FAA Center of Excellence at CU Boulder, as well as Association of Spaceflight Professionals. Giugi was a Super Lawyer in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019. She was also Denver Law Week "Lawyer of the Year" in 2018. She holds a JD from the University of Houston Law Center and both an LLM in Space, Cyber & Telecommunications Law as well as a JSD in Space Law, from the University of Nebraska Law School. She is a frequent CLE instructor on topics ranging from Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to trauma-informed representation, and sexual harassment. In 2018 she was one of the top 25 Female Faculty of the Year. She was a co-founder of the Colorado Women's Bar Association Blog, The 1891, and has been a proficient online contributor for years. She is also a member of the Colorado Lawyers' Committee Board, representing NDH, LLC.
