Amy Griner is a practicing family law attorney in NDH’s Colorado office. She is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. She began her career as a Deputy Prosecutor in Northern Indiana. After ten years, she left prosecution to follow her passion for civil rights and juvenile justice becoming a public defender and a court appointed guardian ad litem advocating for children. She helped her Indiana community implement and uphold the initiatives of the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI) working to reduce and eliminate the use of solitary confinement and the overuse of detention for juvenile offenders. Amy continues to advance the mission of NDH by dedicating her time to pro bono clients and regularly volunteering for programs assisting indigent families obtain legal advice.
